Last Friday, October 19th we opened up the New Wine Cafe in Constanta, Romania. This is a ministry run by Youth With a Mission and its focus is to reach out to high school and university students with the love of God. Our vision is to impact the student’s lives with the Gospel so they can change their society and see Romania transformed. One issue the students face is that they are discouraged to live in a country that doesn’t offer financial or professional satisfaction so many leave Romania to find a better paying job. We want to challenge the students to remain in the country and to make a difference in their society.

Another major issue in the students lives is that they are lonely and do not have friends who really care about them. At New Wine Café the students will come into a warm friendly atmosphere where they can feel accepted and appreciated. We want to build relationships with them so they can experience God’s love in a real way.

We are reaching out to students by using creative arts such as, live music, art exposition, poetry, comedy/improvisation, film, and photography. It may be intimidating for a non-Christian to go directly to a church, so the café is a middle ground where they can come and feel free to be themselves. New Wine Cafe is a unique place where students can hang out and meet new friends. We also have inexpensive drinks and homemade cakes and cookies for them to enjoy.

We are open every Thursday and Friday evening at 19:00.
